It has nothing to do with bias. I love my 80s 49ers
Yet they would probably lose to the worst NFL teams today.
I love BYU football, yet even their best teams have rarely beat any other really good teams.
I just understand that advancements over 30 years don't happen in every facet of life except the NBA.
I'm a realist. I agreed with a post earlier today that the 88 dream team is better then the 92 dream team in part because D. Wilkins is better than Mullin, one of my all-time favorite players.
I'd be making this same argument regardless of the team. I grew up on 80s and 90s basketball. I love it. But basketball today is smarter, more skilled and played with greater efficiency then at any other time and it will continue to improve.

I wonder how good at shooting 3s, Bird & Mullin would have been had they grown up shooting them? Bird was a career 37.6%
