If bird was defended like steph is today, it would probably be worse than it was
Birds three pointers were almost all wide open and almost never off the dribble. The degree of difficulty of Steph’s shots are in a completely different league than the off the catch, wide open threes that bird mostly took.
If Steph only shot the threes that bird shot at the volume bird shot it, he would be well over 50 percent

I wonder how good at shooting 3s, Bird & Mullin would have been had they grown up shooting them? Bird was a career 37.6%
