I think it would be better. The difference is that they would have been catch
And shoot guys. They would have shot more and made more and probably made a better %. Bird could have been like Luka today.
But Luka's most inefficient shot is threes because the defense is set up to just keep pushing him farther back.
Bird and Mullin just don't have the athleticism to shoot off the dribble like Curry or Lillard, nor does Luka.
Yes they get hot and make some occasionally, but the step back three is not a good or efficient shot even in today's NBA. And that's how Mullin and bird would have to take them against a smart defense.

I wonder how good at shooting 3s, Bird & Mullin would have been had they grown up shooting them? Bird was a career 37.6%
