I also think it helps businesses focus on what's really important. I think much of the work people used to do didn't have an impact on revenue. They're projects or ideas that get floated in endless pointless meetings and get a team assigned to them. WFH has stripped that away and focused on important things.
My CEO asked me the other day about a fully remote member of my team...he wondered if she was 'working hard' and how she was filling her day. I told him that she was doing every single thing I asked her to do quickly and impacting revenue. She's proactive, gets things done, and never ever misses a deadline. And so I didn't care if she was working 9 hours a day.
That's a mindset shift for people....
