A couple of things ...
First, it's only 85 scholarships.
Second, yes it's harder at BYU with the missions to manage but that's not on the coaches. It's on the staff. Also, not every recruit has to be a member.
Third, the HC doesn't have to be a negative. It can actually be a positive since guys that want this environment won't be wasting time partying.
Fourth, good/great players want to play. They want to be on TV, in a P5 conference and not sitting the bench at Alabama hench the transfer portal.
Fifth, the key is to develop the players you get with a top notch S&C program and with a skill set to get them into the NFL.
You get guys into the NFL and recruiting becomes sooo much easier.

Sure I do. Stop buying my season tickets and donating to the CC. Just like people did when Reid was the BB coach.
