BYU will never be Alabama. BYU is trying to be consistent Top 15-30. That's achievable, even with all of BYU's recruiting disadvantages. It's been done before in BYU history, and it can be done again. Think about this. We're talking about being in the top quartile of schools. It's a good goal, but it's not like an impossible stretch.
Comparing BYU to perennial Top-10 schools? That's silly. 90% of schools without BYU's recruiting disadvantages will never do that. BYU disadvantages in recruiting and money aren't the main reasons for not being perennial Top-10.
