occasional 10-3 / 11-2, and a rare 12-1. I'd love to see BYU be more in the 10-3 / 11-2 range, but with Our recruiting limitations, and now playing in the BIG-12, that will be difficult.
Kalani didn't take over a annual top 10 team and drive it into the ground. Bronco's last five years he average about 8-5.
Lavell had one special year after the NC. (I define special as undefeated, or 1-loss)
Lavell put BYU on the map, and once there, you can pretty much stay there, as long as you tease every now and then with special seasons. You name plenty of name brand teams that over the years had lows, but when they win, all is forgiven. Same with BYU.
part of being a BYU fan is believing "every stinking year that this will be that special season!"
I'm never content.
