Yes, you’re making too big a deal of this.
The Marriott parking should be usable for Heritage kids though. Implying that BYU isn’t being honorable for a communication mistake seems overboard though.
What you’re asking for is the equivalent of the posted speed limit being wrong, and then wanting them to change the speed limit to the incorrect speed limit because the sign said it was that.
Certainly fair to argue her ticket. Unfair to say that correcting to the original policy is dishonorable.
