It's like an apartment complex offering free parking on a lot across the street to tenants and then after you move in you learn there is no parking. "Sorry. I get hundreds of these calls but there's nothing I can do. The ownership rents out that lot for game day parking, so we can't allow parking there. We made that change years ago. I don't know anything about the ad you saw, but it's wrong. Sorry."
Businesses make mistakes in their advertising. If it's within reason, they should apologize AND honor what they offered or give a reasonable alternative. And then change their ad for next time.
They should let the kids park there or somewhere equivalent this year, and if they don't want parking there next year they need to fix their information.
