Sam's Dad Redshirt Freshman
Yeah agree on this. We just involved them where we could. My 2 oldest
Played HS football and it wasn't a big deal. 4th oldest played on HS golf team. We had to enroll themin the sports in our school boundaries. The other stuff we paid for ourselves such as comp teams, gymnastics etc. Our youngest is in public schools and it has been a good experience.

In retrospect, one size fits all families or one system fits all kids is not as good but the time and cost to individualize public schools is not feasible. Sometimes I wish we had sent my 4th child to public school from the start. We finally relented after starting our own private school for Jr High and HS that worked for the 3 oldest. He did not thrive in the private school so we enrolled him in public schools. He enjoyed that more. He played on the HS golf team and finally made some good friends. Our ward had few kids his age. He was about to launch into life but died last month in a bizarre accident. I think he would have been better served in public schools from the beginning but my wife w9n that battle.
