What I get from you, sir
is a guy who actually thinks Mitch Matthews had good WR skills.
Sorry you can't accept a good, basic schooling on why that was never true. Either form a Frosh MM. Nor from a Sr. MM.
He was a very serviceable athlete for us, but not a good WR. Had he had good WR skills he woulda run that go route a ton for us, & caught a lot of passes for us. And if you care to re-read any of my posts in this thread I never said anything of what an optimal pass was for a WR on ANY route. Only about what an optimal pt of catching a pass was. After all, WRs aren't valued for being able to come down with only the optimal throws.
