He is LDS, (though not active I've heard), grew up 30 mins away from BYU, and his BROTHER went to BYU.
It's not worth the coaches time to pursue him?
Sometimes these coaches are darned if they do, darned if they don't. If a coach doesn't put in the effort for a kid like the situation with Anae and Britain Covey or some of the other legacy kids, then "they are lazy recruiters."
But then if they do pull out all the stops for a kid like Isaac then they were "wasting their time." Which is it?
As someone who works in sales, I will tell you that you lose 100% of the deals you don't chase. PLUS, there is no guarantee that Isaac will succeed at Utah. Let's face it, their history with QBs isn't great. Then in a year or two when he is looking for a soft spot to land, the relationship that A rod has forged with him could pay off.
