Kalani and Arod gave the Wilsons way too much rope while Hammond's recruitment exploded. By the time Wilsons had done what they were going to do (and friends of the family knew where he was going long before Kalani did) it was too late to go after Hammond or anyone else.
Hence the half dozen 3 star and no star recruits in the BYU recruiting class of 2024.
