...it's a joke and this is probably your worst post ever to try and compare Lavell's hiring of an experienced and veteran coach like Scovil to Bronco's hiring of an inexperienced Doman or Howell.
Also, Norm Chow started coaching at BYU near the beginning of Lavell's tenure and didn't start calling plays for close to 10 yrs and didn't become the OC until 1996. That's a lot of time and experience by Norm working under or with and learning from some great coaches like Scovil, Tollner, Kragthorpe, French, Holmgren, etc.
These coaches were either well groomed in BYU's system or came into the system with some significant success and experience in college and the NFL.
