Plus you can go back through the schedule from when Reid started in 89-90 through the 8 games he coached in 96-97, it's really easy to count. He went 9-9 vs Utah in that stretch and against Majerus he went 8-7. In Reid's first season Majerus missed most of the year (24 games) and didn't coach against Reid and BYU. Reid went 1-2 vs Utah that season against the substitute/interim coach.

Another thing to like about Reid, besides being better than arguably the best basketball coach in yewt history, he also went 3-0 vs Majerus when it counted most, in the WAC tourney (and he was 3-1 vs Utah overall in the WAC tourney). Roger was able to uphold the BYU motto and Rise up and Shout when it came to facing down our rival Utah.

He and Majerus were bitter enemies while competing but when Reid got canned by BYU, Majerus reached out to him and gave support to Reid publicly and later they became friends and mutual respecters of each other. Afterwards, Majerus made it a habit to always leave 2 tickets for Reid at the Will Call window at the Huntsman for all Ute homegames as a show of respect.

Kind of cool if you ask me. Rick didn't respect many people at all. I know Whitt doesn't like Bronco (feelings are mutual) but I don't think they have that kind of professional respect for Bronco in the Ute Athletic Dept.
