Bronco is a good "coach" but not a good evaluator of assistant coach talent, and his assistants have been the weakness that has kept BYU underachieving. But at the end of the day, the buck stops with him. In fact you could argue that hiring the right assistant coaches is the most important aspect of a head coaches job. So it isn't "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" to have an issue with Bronco over this very point...
