This is the exact reason I think it's sheer stupidity. ULTIMATE price if wrong.

I have multiple family members whose pregnancy was normal and whose delivery started out normal. Within minutes, it went from everything's fine to a situation where every modern technology was needed on hand just to keep mother and baby alive. A 20 minute ambulance ride from home would have been 19 minutes too late to save either of them.

No amount of midwife "certification" can keep that from happening.
