Most natural birthing moms aren't quacky though. They understand and appreciate medicine, but just want to labor without wires attached to them. I can totally understand that.

I really think there should be a middle ground here where we had birth centers working in connection with hospitals. A lot of moms that do natural labor/delivery wish they could do it in or by the hospital, but there's not much middle ground right now. You either labor away from the hospital completely or if you are in the hospital play by their rules that they have for legal reasons.
