If your plan is BigLaw then SLC, just start with SLC.
I did not go biglaw.
Many of my classmates who did eventually wound up in a position like the one you describe as your SLC job. If that is where you want to be, ultimately, skip the BigLaw job.
If you know that you want something after BigLaw that you can't achieve by workin in SLC, that would be the situation where I would say "go to BigLaw."
