They really don't.
There are a few that have more of a direct sales commission plan (vs. MLM; DS is usually a three-tier payout, and maybe regional bonus, and MLM is all the levels underneath you - little "breakage") and they sell a lot of product -- this would be like Mary Kay or Avon.
But most of the ones we are discussing are pure MLM, and the % of sales to customers vs to distributors is negligible.
