and then Independence happened and years of terrible schedules. Schedules so bad that few athletes were willing to
come to BYU.
And, Yewts to P12 happened. How can we out-recruit the Yewts with our crappy schedule? Now our schedule is better and our recruits are better. It was clear yesterday that our athletes were simply bigger and stronger than USU's players.

I don't think you can use the "before the season" example because after week one, we saw glimpses of what could be.
