there's some good stuff here. Let me put it in my own words and see if I
understand.
outcoaching Bronco means running something contrary to your normal scheme with a QB that hasn't played all year and suddenly Wells' staff is genius!
Then when Keaton gets flushed out of the pocket because his receivers are blanketed and the defense is in position to make the play its just the players free-wheeling their way to a scoop and score! Bronco doesn't even need to call the defense. Just let the run free!
Anae has obviously abandoned the short passing game even though 2 or the 3 routes on virtually every play break before they're even out of view as Tanner scrambles. Those are just decoys for the long ball after the scramble drill.
Algie's runs in the 1st half weren't successful so it must be a personnel issue. If Bernard was running those plays it would have been 5, 6 yards/pop even though USU was putting an extra man near the line of scrimmage until the long-ball made them back off in the 2nd half.
I think we're on the same page.
