That's a terrible indicator, In my marketing class of 700 the professor

took a poll right after Jenkins made her statement and over 50% said they would buy caffeine if it was offered and about 30% said they don't drink soda. So, a very high percentage of students would provide the requisite "demand" for caffeine. "Demand" in an economic context means willing to pay for not, willing to protest and literally demand.
