...or mean that they lack integrity.

Whoever (Pres. Samuelson?) said "There's no demand" likely doesn't get many requests for caffeinated pop because the vast majority of people at BYU either A) understand the reasoning or B) don't care enough to make a stink or C) just fall in line because culturally, Mormons tend to do that, so he can state that as the reasoning and be perfectly truthful without giving a point-by-point explanation in order to appease the few complainers out there.
