Nah, the evil is greed and wanting what you can't afford.

Credit cards are simply one of the devices people use to satisfy that greed and want. You could say the same things about many types of loans (RV loans, car loans for extravagant cars, mortgages for houses that are far too big).

All of these things can be used poorly to satisfy the greed of individuals who don't budget and who are greedy and want instant satisfaction. It doesn't make the things evil. It makes the person using them evil for being greedy.
