Machiavelli127 Walk-on
Well that's your problem right there...nobody is saying it's a good idea
to own a ton of credit cards and to rack up charges on all of them. That's just stupid. I've got a total of two credit cards, which I use depending on the different cash back categories they offer. And like I said, it's imperative to pay them off at LEAST monthly. Oh, and you should NEVER PAY THE MINIMUM BALANCE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD...that's the killer right there. People don't realize they're paying 18+% interest when they do that. Like I said, if you pay even a cent of interest, you're doing it wrong. Interest is the slippery slope that you should never enter...I can't be any clearer about that. But that doesnt mean you need to get rid of CCs altogether. Like I said...don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

You're falling into this logical fallacy that credit cards will just suck you in and you're going to be forced to pay interest before you know it. It is NOT like that. Credit cards offer cash back rewards (free money), and they boost your credit score, which could save you thousands when you decide to buy a home. And you NEVER have to pay a cent of interest. If you do, you're doing it wrong.
