chances are that they aren't going to listen to anyone's financial advice and they aren't going to chop up their credit cards. So essentially it's financially responsible people who are cutting up their credit cards, but they're really just shooting themselves in the foot because they're killing their credit and they're giving up free money. Dave Ramsey's advice is only good for people who, unfortunately, wouldn't take financial advice.
