that said HS gyms are often less than half full. Sometimes as the visiting team we have more fans than the home it seems. It Looks and Feels like high school when watching on tv, not legit college athletics.

Like you say, 9000 is great if the place is packed but 3500 seat gyms with less than half full is just not a good look. Not to say I dislike the WCC, which I dont at all, and am liking playing SMC and the Zags regularly...but legitimately h.s. teams do get more fans and it just feels in mostly empty gyms to be not the atmosphere I hope for in a conference game.
