Or more likely, you just never read the OP that I was responding to,
specifically this quote, within the context of a discussion about the BYU honor code: "...yet never connecting the clear cause and effect--that Luke Neal's life is most likely a result of Luke Neal's FATHER'S lifestyle of premarital sex and booze!"
This is not a discussion about traditional family values, or even bad choices. I've made no statements about either of those topics (BTW, when has abstaining from alcohol ever been part of "family values"?). I simply objected to the idea that premarital sex and drinking alcohol are the "clear" reason people behave the way Neal's father and uncle did. That there is a "clear cause and effect."
