BYU is still a viable need for a G5 conference that they could get...
pretty much what they want if they moved now. If BYU becomes a strain, that even fans are jumping off the Indy ship right now, that they won't be worth much beyond what your everyday G5 is worth. Right now, I really do believe, BYU could get their 3rd tier TV rights and Replay rights for BYUTV if they wanted that from a G5 conference.
The Big East was going to give that to BYU if they had joined, I'm pretty sure the AAC would give that to BYU in a nanosecond. The AAC wants to move West... if they got BYU, and BYU managed to get AFA to move and 1 or 2 others, that would be a boon for the AAC and could contend to be a power conference.
