Bottom line is whether BYU is willing to currently trade...
... a few games on ESPN for a few games on FX/FSN in the Big 12. I'm not sure we'd be guaranteed a minimum of four games on ESPN in the Big 12 and we certainly wouldn't get 10. Their media deal with both ESPN and Fox will need to be amended to accomodate a team like BYU or Notre Dame.
Texas also wants the same accomodations. If they can offer inclusion of BYU and Notre Dame as the plum, they can prompt a renegotiation with both Fox and ABC/ESPN to put a bit more flexibility in the deal.
