BYU has been trying to get into the B12 ever since it was formed. There is no way we would turn down an official invite, it would be the dumbest move in the history of the university. I can understand wanting to honor our commitment to the WCC, but there's no reason we can't join in football only say in 2013 then bring the other sports over a few years after that. The only way this could remotely be true is that BYU couldn't get assurances from UT and OU that they would remain in the conference and that it would be a stable BCS entity going forward. But there would be no reason for the B12 to pursue BYU if UT and OU were planning on leaving, so that scenario doesn't make any sense.
