BYU is a better athletic school in just about every...
measurable way than Utah is (look at the number of conference championships in ALL sports...Utah is nowhere near as good top to bottom as BYU is). We have a MUCH bigger (local AND regional) fanbase than Utah does. There is no question that BYU would bring better TV ratings throughout PAC-12 country and a larger share of the Utah market than Utah does as well. Despite this, they will never invite BYU. And I wouldn't care (frankly, I dislike pretty much every single PAC-12 school) if it weren't for the fact that superconferences were threatening to leave BYU in the hinterlands of college football despite our obvious virtues and qualifications.
