the only reason they didn't...
was dumb bigotry. THERE IS NO OTHER REASON THEY WOULD NOT SEE BYU AS A GREAT PARTNER, BUT BIGOTRY WINS OUT. BYU has better athletic programs, including football, than most teams in the Pacbigotry 12, and a better national fan base by far than the U of who, and millions of fans in Pac 12 territory that would sell seats and put butts in the seats all over ... plus, the Y's overall academics are better than most of the Pac bigotry schools.

Read again what Melkor so eloquently said, and you can clearly see stupidity and bigotry in action, "There are over 3.5 million mormons living within the PAC-12 footprint (Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah and Colorado), and over 4.25 million in the western U.S.. There are another ~300,000 mormons in Texas, too. We have a 65,000 seat stadium that we sell out conistently. We have a solid hoops program and one of the top overall athletic deprtments in the west. We have our own broadcast facilities, a contract with ESPN and a solid (better than at least 9 of the 12 PAC schools) academic reputation."

"It seems incredibly short sighted for the PAC-12 not to discuss BYU when they discuss expasion to 16 teams. Are they really so biased that they can't see the tremendous benefit that BYU would bring to their conference? Will they really allow religious/ideological bigotry cloud their judgement to that degree? If so...they're morons."
