Maybe you're right, the scenario isn't brought up....
....and Utah quietly lets the rivalry fade, scheduling a lot more revenue games against teams that will accept the terms.
BYU fans mock Utah for their schedule, Utah focuses on moving up the ladder in conference by engaging in the money race and focussing on getting consistently into the upper tier of PAC teams.
Utah has to at least take a shot at making the next leap upward, and if that's the way we need to do it, we just do it. We can't try to improve by ignoring the arms race.
