Problem here is Utah's current low man on the totem pole
position. Do you think Georgia would allow the SEC to kill their rivalry game with Georgia Tech or Clemson would let the ACC kill their rivalry with SC. Never. Those games are too lucrative and too important. I think Utah would love to keep the BYU game, but they have no political power with the rest of the PAC-12. The PAC-12 says "Be happy with what you get" and Utah has to run home and try to explain it to their fans. "You know that incredible rivalry that made the entire state obsessed every Nov. We don't need it any more cause we get to play Colorado."
