I'd love to be in the PAC 10 but that ain't happening. So we've both moved on.

If Utah will only play us in September they are of no use to us. I would much rather play any other upper level BCS team (see Texas next year) or Boise State. Now I'd kill to have them on the schedule in November but they won't do it, so who cares about them. I honestly do not understand all the talk I've heard on the radio and in the newspaper about what a travesty the loss of this game is. I guess to the sports media it is because it is their biggest sports story of the year. To me, as a 35 year old, lifelong cougar fan and cougar club member, I don't really care. As long as we are able to get a similar mid-level BCS team, and if we can get Texas, Nebraska, or even Boise State then there is no way I would trade that for Utah. With the new playoff system I think getting good teams in September will be even easier.

I've heard people say it is different if you live in Utah. I grew up in northern Utah and have lived her all but 6 years of my life. In that time I knew 1 long suffering ute fan growing up, Never even met one living out of state and know 1 Ute fan now. I care about them because we recruit some of the same players. I want them to fail because of a perceived benefit to us. Other than that I don't care if we play Utah, Wasington State, ASU, UA, UW, Cal, UCLA or Oregon State in September. They are all lower tier Pac 12 teams.
The rant is over but I am so tired listening to what a travesty the loss of this rivalry is. Count me as one fan who doesn't really care.
