With the new playoff system all that matters is getting high in the rankings, so how do you get highly ranked, you play good teams and win. So really all that matters now is SOS, and winning those games. Knowing that, this year we have a higher rated SOS than Utah, so actually we are MORE relevant than Utah. and have a HIGHER chance at making it to the National championship than them, and we don't have to put up with all the conference crap. Independence IS way better than being in the PAC 12, hands down. Really what does it give them. So actually your totally wrong, and BYU is in the position of power, NOT Utah.
