People DO give up time and money to support the team.
Also, I could easily switch to BAMA as "MY TEAM" without any negative repercussions ... it would probably even be socially and/or professionally beneficial to do so. It sure would be nice to usually only grumble about how the win wasn't as good as it should have been or listen to the old fogeys say how the Bear would have done it different/better than Saban. Fans make a choice in who they support and that should be given credit.
And I thought what he said about "we'd be coaches if we could do it better" was hilarious. People choose their careers along lines of either passion, aptitude, practicality, family tradition, and/or fear that they could do anything else better. I, for one, wouldn't ever consider trading my job to become a college football coach ... even if I were the best at it. I know I can't be alone here.
I know he's just a young dude venting and I'll give him some slack, but this is exactly the kind of attitude from Bronco that rubbed many fans the wrong way.
