like he is alienating all the fans. If he's alienated fans, it is a very small fraction. Fans who pay and travel and donate don't necessarily feel they are entitled to boo, just a handful of rude ones. He doesn't like the behavior and he was brave to stand up for something, even at the risk of taking flack from some immature, entitled fans. These fans aren't going to stop donating or traveling long distances to see games because he spoke up. I'm sorry this differs from your opinion, but it is stupid and you have the right to put it on social media...you're just not a public figure, so you feel safe behind your cyber wall to gripe without taking the same kind of beating.
Two other well know players have also stood up and in different word have asked us to behave. Their tone was softer, but they were still asking us to behave better. I'm not offended by any of them. I also don't boo at players, coaches or the decisions they make. I may not like all that I see, but I'm not going to boo. It's immature and rude and accomplishes nothing good in spite of what the boo'ers think. We don't need to justify the fans who boo and/or and try to quiet a player who believes that he and his teammates are trying their best.
