Yes, I was there. And the booing was heard by players on the field,
which is the subject of the OP. It was loud enough for everyone there to notice, apparently loud enough to be heard by TV viewers. I would put the percentage of fans voicing displeasure closer to 40% - maybe more. I was embarrassed by what fans were doing. But, I am not going to minimize it here. The booing was not limited to a few fans.
