Sure it may not have been directly relevant to the first paragraphs purpose, but the comment was in the discussion as being an example of the lack of discipline in the program, players AND coaches.

However, I’m surprised at the amount of negative responses this post has had regarding the cultural divide.
As if nobody has ever acknowledged it before.
Though race hating was not the purpose of the op, apparently, the race discussion is needed now.
At no point was it ever said that the Polynesian culture is bad or wrong. In my opinion... more people should embrace and emulate the traits that come natural to Polynesians. Love, respect, loyalty, etc.
What was said is that there is a cultural divide on the team, including players and coaches. There is cultural cliques in most diverse organizations, and that is ok, but when one culture deems itself better than another it is not ok (not saying this is what has happened in this situation).
A great leader unites differing cultures and persectives and gets a group to work toward a common goal. Kalani is the leader right now. Will he be able to unite the team, coaches and fans towards a common goal? We’ll see.
