This guy gets it. BYU will NEVER be able to CONSISTENTLY compete
with the top 1-20 ranked schools in recruiting or on the field. It is not who we are and not who will ever be. The reasons? Honor Code, Honor Code, and Honor Code with a little Independence, academics, and coaching salaries thrown in there for good measure.
We must be ok with have consistent 9-4, 8-5 years as an independent. Or, go to a G5 conference and MAYBE have a stand out year that gets us to a NY6 game (see UCF, Boise State, etc.).

Weren't we in the 40s consistently as a MWC school? Indy will never work if we are stuck in the 60s.
