About 90% of LDS who don't segregate themselves into predominantly LDS communities when adulthood begins basically fall away from the faith (who knows how many of them return at some later time). Meanwhile, something on the order of 90% of Amish youth return to the faith after rumspringa, although that can take different forms in the different Amish communities. What accounts for such a stark distinction?
