we probably even recognize. Off the top of my head, I can think of two friends (both outside of Utah) who have quit church entirely, but who still follow BYU sports - they attend away games in their areas and even travel for games.

I’m with Blue and Manutd - I have little personal, spiritual connection to this stuff anymore. And I have only a little bit of a social connection. BYU is a remaining connection. It might not be enough, frankly, but it’s better than nothing.
