Why is healthcare so expensive?
There have been plenty of discussion on the cost of health insurance and access to healthcare, but I have a couple of more fundamental questions. What are the drivers for high healthcare costs? What can be done to reduce these drivers and thus reduce the cost of healthcare? What are the principal cost drivers - not enough supply, too many groups/middlemen adding their cut, lawsuits/malpractice costs?
