After reading the article I think the WSJ trolled this guy.
“Let’s find somebody with one of the highest 100 student loan balances in the nation who pays only about 1/10 every month of what the true loan payoff amount would be. Oh and make sure he drives a Tesla and lives in a beautiful house with a view.”

The initial tone of the article seemed to be about how out of control tuition costs are, and how we should feel sorry for these poor students. By the end it was more about how absurd the loan forgiveness program can be and the burden on taxpayers for someone who started living a cushy life the moment he graduated, before he had actually worked a productive day in society.
