Atleast that's the hope. But not very many people want to work with feet, or even know what podiatrists do so when applying for medical schools, few people even give it a thought. I was just lucky enough to take a class at BYU that introduces me to podiatry and that sparked my interest. That and people probably aren't that interested in working with nasty fungal/bacterial infection and Diabetic Ulcers. But, I do look foward to the surgeries I'll be able to do. Achilles ruptures, lis franc injuries etc would be awesome.
People ask me "why work with feet?" i say, it's better than working with teeth (sorry CB dentists)
