TM has thrown himself under the bus for not being mentally ready to compete...
...in 2016 he didn’t have a very good fall camp and didn’t compete well with Taysom for the starting job. He later acknowledged that he wasn’t mentally ready to start the season and his performance suffered as a result. Looked like last year had some carryover effect, his arm strength wasn’t there, plagued by nagging injuries and he struggled with the mental aspect of things.
Kalani is spot on saying he needs competition to make him sharp, nothing wrong with that.
