struggle to get 6 wins. Why? Talent level. It isn't a scheme issue, coaching issue, mission issue, etc. It is talent. BYU's talent pool is limited by the honor code, plain and simple. The talent limits BYU's ability to compete with bigger programs. You can't line up pinto's to run with thoroughbreds.

Now, what are the odds that BYU scraps the honor code? Absolutely zero probability. What fans need to decided is, do they want to continue to cheer for a team that really isn't going to make much noise in the post season, even when they get there? If it is too frustrating to cheer for a team that will be perennially 7-5, maybe 8-4 every 5 or so years, then maybe a new team to cheer for would be in order.

To try and pin BYTU's woes on coaching and the coaching pool is just a narrow view that ignores the biggest gorilla in the room.

Gentlemen, that is the reality right now. If BYU can't get into a P5 league, which isn't anywhere on the horizon, then BYU will struggle to compete in the long run with its current scheduling model. It is what it is. If you can't hack it, jump ship. I for one, will not jump ship. I will cheer for the cougs win or lose. I accept reality and know that nothing will change until scheduling and or league affiliation changes.
